Who does not like delicious cakes? But baking and frosting them is an art. This is the story of a 30-year-old entrepreneur, Arunima Das, a small-town girl with big dreams. Arunima did her MBA from Mumbai and completed an internship in Europe. Europe has offered many popular dessert recipes to the world. It was there, that she realized she wanted to make a career in baking. She did not take up a job but moved back to her hometown, Ranchi. After completing her studies, in 2015, she started her business - The Dessert Station (@thedessertstationranchi) . Though her family was against the idea of her starting a business, she convinced them. She started by baking for friends and family, and with time, she started getting orders from others.



After completing her studies, in 2015, Arunima started her business - The Dessert Station. Her products are customized, eggless, and exotic. Her best-selling products are Chocolate Truffle, Rasmalai, Biscoff Cheesecakes, Oreo Tart, Butter Cookies, and baked Gulab Jamun. She also delivers dry goodies across India and has made a name for herself in her city. She uses various modern technologies, like fondant airbrushes and serrated knives.

There are other cakes, cookies, and customized gift hampers too. She also delivers dry goodies across India and has made a name for herself in her city. She uses various modern technologies, like fondant airbrushes and serrated knives. She also organizes stalls and gives the final products to the needy.


Arunima says, ‘I believe in delivering quality products and using the best ingredients. Initially, I started working alone. Now I have two helpers and an intern, Preeti. I started baking from home, but now I have a separate workshop. Recently I have started taking baking classes. One can directly enrol by contacting me. I want to own a dessert studio someday. I also have a YouTube channel, where I share my recipes."
