PRATIBHA CHAUDHARI -The Entrepreneur who turned her Hobby into a Successful Business

Based out of Nashik, Maharashtra, Pratibha Chaudhari (@pratibha.chaudhari) has been creating different decor items with traditional art forms like Warli, Madhubani, and much more. She started getting orders for her artwork while pursuing her hobby of painting. However, she earned her spot in the world of art when she decorated the walls of Rajbhavan in Delhi with Warli paintings. Her creation of God Ganesha using Madhubani art adorns the entrance of the Rajbhavan room.

She started her career by conducting painting classes and soon received orders for her paintings. She applied this traditional art form to home décor products like bed sheets, table mats, and tissue paper holders. Feedback from her clients and students helped her hone her skills.

Her unique and one-of-a-kind products were in high demand, and orders started coming in from India, America, Germany, and the UK. Her products range from hand-painted sarees, dupattas, kurtas, stoles, bed sheets, pillow covers, purses, tissue paper holders, tablecloths, bags, etc. and are available on different online platforms. She has now adapted her art to different media like canvas, glass, and ceramics. In addition, Pratibha receives bespoke orders for decorating homes and offices with Warli. Her art can be seen in many resorts near Nashik, Maharashtra. Visitors to these resorts have started placing orders with her after seeing her art.

To keep up with the orders, Pratibha has trained and employed many women from the Nashik area. Pratibha believes that it is important to define your unique style to stand out from the crowd. Maintaining and cataloguing her work has been the key to her success as an artist. Finally, she adds” if you turn your passion into a successful business, you will never have to work a single day… in fact, you will be able to enjoy life with more joy and zeal!”
