Kanpur, the leather capital of India, generates a large amount of revenue for the state of Uttar Pradesh. Located on the banks of the Ganges River, Jajmau is a suburb of Kanpur (which generates about INR 15000 crores of revenue every year and accounts for 30% of Indian leather exports). Ruksh was born in this context and has since grown into a big third-generation company.
Ruksh Enterprises (www.ruksh.in) was founded in 1968, with a vision to produce the finest quality Indian leather and leather products. As of 2022, the company's products include finished leather, footwear, and equestrian products like harnesses and saddlery.
