Kohinoor is a group of tyre manufacturing companies having multi-product, multi-location and multi-business operations in India. It was conceived during the 1970s through the concerted efforts of its Founder President Mr S.P. Jain at Jalandhar, Punjab. Mr S.P. Jain, through his unwavering commitment and perseverance towards innovation, started the first manufacturing unit of flat transmission belts in 1970.
Thereafter, in 1973, Mr S.P. Jain started manufacturing cycle and auto tyres under the name of Kohinoor Rubber Mills (www.krmtyres.com), which is now popularly known as Kohinoor India (P) Ltd. Since then, the company began its fascinating journey as an unquestionable leader in the rubber milling industry. Today, the group has earned the reputation of “The Rubber People” in northern India. Such tangible achievements are credited to Kohinoor’s stringent adherence to international quality control standards and commitment to continuous Research & Development efforts.
In the year 2007, KRM Tyres, the offshoot of Kohinoor Rubber Mills, started its commercial production of automotive tyres at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, under the constant guidance of young and dynamic CEO, Mr Sandeep Jain, the successor of Mr S.P. Jain. KRM has been relentlessly working towards driving innovation and excellence in the tyre industry since its conception. Its product range includes two/three-wheeler tyres, light commercial vehicle tyres, tractor tyres, industrial tyres, off-the-road (OTR) tyres, and many more.

In a short span of two years, KRM Tyres has received ISO 14001: 2004 and ISO 9001: 2008 certifications. Over the years, KRM has been recognised for its drive towards customer satisfaction through quality rubber manufacturing services. Many multinational companies from India outsource tyres of their brands from KRM. Presently, KRM has a presence across the globe and its products are available in European markets, North and South American countries, East African countries, Gulf countries, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh. The company also has a strong network of dealers throughout India.
Mr Sandeep Jain believes in imbibing the spirit of ‘CAN DO’ and ‘WE’ instead of ‘I’ attitude to excel and make a difference in achieving the set goals. His key area of thrust continues to be in expanding horizons nationally and internationally and providing customers with better quality products and value-added services.
In 2010, Mr S.P. Jain started a reclaim rubber manufacturing plant at Kathua Industrial Area in the state of Jammu & Kashmir, under the name of Kohinoor Reclamations & Eastman Reclamations with the joint venture of Sun Exim Group. Reclaim rubber is an environment- friendly and effective source of rubber used in various tyre, non-tyre rubber and butyl rubber applications.
Kohinoor’s outstanding reputation in the marketplace is the result of the dedicated and passionate efforts of its visionary top leaders who have contributed immensely to taking their business to newer levels.
