The story starts in 1975 with two people leaving their motherland for a higher calling. Ratibhai Patel and Ravjibhai Patel realized that their native land could not give a material form to their vision. Mr. Ratibhai Patel is known for his stability, presence of mind, strong willpower, decisiveness, and positive attitude in all walks of life. Mr. Ravjibhai Patel is known for his risk bearing capacity, planning, and strategies for counterbalancing potential risks and profitable returns. The duo has a combined experience of 47 years and has kept the Surbhi Group running for 29 years.
The company combats climate change, air, soil, and water pollution through its green policies. They want to take environmental leadership by establishing partnerships with vendors, contractors, and agencies for waste recycling. They have green zones around their units and comply with all local environmental laws.
Surbhi Group is on a mission to plant 5000 trees and use the yield to produce tonnes of paper a year. They have six windmills, four in Gujarat and two in Maharashtra, which help them cut down electricity expenses and conserve the earth. The total capacity of each wind power plant in Gujarat is 0.8 MW, and the two windmills in Maharashtra can produce 2MW each. Their solar rooftop panels bought from Indian solar energy companies helps them compensate for 65% of the electricity consumption of the office unit.
Their products and services fall under five categories: yarn, weave, knits, embroidery, and garments. Surbhi Textile Mills produces kurtis, lengha choli, western tops, and Indo-Western garments for women. Their yarn manufacturing department produces jari yarn and color threads. They also can make custom knits for the fashion, automotive, medical, and sports industries. Their embroidery department produces chemical lace fabrics, dry lace fabrics, and apparels in various designs.
