Saatveeka group (www.avipl.com) is an emerging leader in the highly competitive steel industry. Established just over a couple of decades ago, the company has expanded its business exponentially by adopting best practices and world-class quality standards.
When Mr Bella Matha Sivarraj founded the Saatveeka group in 1999, the turnover was Rs.40 lakhs. This revenue seems to pale in comparison to the current turnover of Rs.100.41 crores. While achieving this margin under the leadership of Mr Sivarraj, the company has also expanded itself out of Mumbai into strategically placed locations in the country, namely Chennai, Coimbatore, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and New Delhi.

A major portion of Saatveeka’s raw materials is supplied by Graphite India Ltd. After receiving this supply, the company then manufactures its line of products that comprise high-speed steels, cold work, and alloy steels. These kinds of steel must be of high strength and quality as they are used in the manufacture of various tools such as cutting tools, shape cutters, threading dies, gauges, punches etc. Saatveeka also imports high-speed steel bars from China and Brazil, which are converted into semi-finished ingots/alloy steel billets, alloy steel scrap etc. and exported to China and Germany.
Saatveeka prides itself on being a customer’s delight. It checks off all the boxes regarding what a customer looks forward to from a vendor in the steel industry: timely delivery, efficiency, durability, and a competitive price. With this impressive set of features, the company can win over and retain customers such as Bosch, JK Files and tools, Mitsubishi Steels, Graphite India Ltd., etc.
The company has committed itself to producing exceptionally high-quality products. It comes as no surprise that it is India’s first ISO 9001:2008 accredited company for trading high-speed, alloy and powder metallurgy steels. This ISO standard is awarded to organizations fulfilling customer needs by inculcating the philosophy of continuous improvement and consistently adhering to applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
Saatveeka has held its own even in the face of stiff competition in the sector and despite the pandemic. Going forward, the company plans to scale up further by catering to the requirements of the cutting tool and automobile segments via joint ventures. Under the capable leadership of Mr Sivarraj, Saatveeka is on its way to becoming one of the indispensable cogs in the giant wheel of the steel industry.
