Then a hydraulic ram exerts 15,000 tons of pressure on the extrusion plate, and material is pushed into the container, taking up its shape. With constant pressure, a formed profile of the extruded material emerges out of the die, cooled to room temperature, stretched into alignment, moved to the finish saw and cut to length.
