Goa has long been the place to go for a holiday with friends. Especially considering that its allure is multifold, something for everyone. With the beaches for the wanderer, the cheap alcohol for the party lover, amazing sunsets, cashew fenny for the enthusiast, or the literal international crowd-puller the Sunburn festival, Goa has and will probably always be the ultimate tourist destination.
And if you still need more convincing, how about the super fresh and delicious seafood? At the forefront of which are the restauranteur duo Sneha and Vikram Salgaonkar. Post their successful establishment of Salmon Fresh Foods Pvt limited (in September 2008), which is involved in the production, processing, and preservation of meat, fish, fruit, vegetables, oils, and fats, they decided to venture into the restaurant business by opening M/S Richie Foods in October 2009.
Under the banner of Richie Foods, they own one restaurant that offers vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian food options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and has ample space to accommodate approximately 70 people, three ice cream parlours, and a Cake shop spread across Goa. Leading the firm since its inception is Mrs Sneha Salgaonkar, ascribing its success partly to her decade-plus years of experience in the restaurant business and partly to its 60 employees, whom the company hires on a contractual basis.
While the worldwide pandemic and the subsequent lockdown may have slightly affected their business, as it did all over the country, they aren’t really worried, as, with the reopening of travel across the world, it will not take long for the evergreen tourist destination to return to its former glory, despite the short hiatus.
