According to an annual report for the year 2020-2021 by the Indian Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers (Dept. of Pharmaceuticals), the Indian pharma industry bagged 3rd place in the world in terms of production and 14th place in terms of value. Thus, with an annual turnover of Rs. 2,89,998 crores for 2019-2020 and total exports and import value of Rs. 1,46,260 crores and Rs. 42,943 crores respectively in the year 2019-20, the Indian Pharma market is constantly growing and expanding its reach.
This constant growth is the hard work of several pharma companies working and producing in India.
