Believing in the Sanskrit slogan "Vidyathe Goshu Sampannam" (meaning "We don't feed the cow, the cow feeds us") and conveying the message "The cow is Lakshmi" to society, the Gophala Trust (www.gouphala.com) was established in Sri Samsthana Mahabaleshwar, Gokarna in January 2018. However, production-related activities started in July 2018. Currently, they have stores and distributors in Karnataka and Kerala and are working hard to roll it out nationwide.
The main objective of the Trust is to collect products produced by cows (Go janya), enhance their value, and then ensure that it reaches the maximum number of people. It is also used for the research and development of cow products and supports centres that do so. To achieve these goals, the Trust works to improve the livelihoods of rural people while educating urban dwellers about healthy alternatives.
