Godha Cabcon and Insulation Limited (www.godhacabcon.com) is one of the leading manufacturers of Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced (ACSR) wire, All Aluminum Alloy Conductor (AAAC), and All Aluminum Conductor (AAC), and Aerial Bundled Cables (AB)located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Today they manufacture and supply cable and conductors to the State Electricity Board of Jabalpur, Bhopal, and Indore and, are looking to expand their footprint to other State Electricity Boards like - Punjab, Gujarat, and Haryana.

However, this company had to weather a few turbulent storms on the way. In 1987, Late Shri Dilip Godha set up an ACSR Conductor manufacturing unit at Dewas in the name of Dewas Conductor. This company ran successfully until Dilip Godha was unable to manage the company due to his ill health in 2002.

When his son Dipesh became an adult, the unit was re-established at Indore in 2006 as a partnership firm - M/S Godha Cabcon & Insulation. The partners were Dilip Godha, his wife Madhu Godha, and his son Dipesh Godha. The unit started its production under the new partnership firm in 2007. At this point, the day-to-day activities of Godha Cabcon were looked after by young Dipesh Godha under the guidance of his father. The firm was dissolved on account of the death of Dilip Godha in December 2008.

Fast forward to 2017 - Godha Cabcon & Insulation Limited, a Public Limited Company, has expanded and progressed under the leadership of Dipesh Godha. Based on his experience in the field, Dipesh Godha has been successful in modifying the machine design to achieve higher production with much lower power and labour consumption. He has his hands in all aspects of the business, including procurement, production, marketing, and finance. His networking skills and business acumen have helped Godha Cabcon achieve greater heights.

Under the able management of Dipesh, his wife Rupali and his mother Madhu, the production capacity has doubled. They have also set up a manufacturing plant for XLP Coated wire, the latest trend in the wire industry. With its present capacity of 15000 MTPA, Godha Cabcon is manufacturing ACSR Conductor wire, stay wire, DPC wire and XLP Coated wire / Conductor.

The future of the global market for overhead conductors looks bright. The ongoing measures to refurbish existing grid infrastructures followed by the rapid adoption of transmission and distribution systems will augment the business landscape. Thanks, to the perseverance and dedication of Dipesh Godha and his team, the company is set to continue its growth trajectory with higher installed capacity and a good order book position.
