Businesses do not enjoy a good reputation among the public. Many people are angry at companies for depriving themselves of the right to their motherland. Besides, they are also frustrated at how companies pollute and defile their lands. There is some truth to this, but as with everything, there are exceptions. Two socially conscious individuals have stepped in to save air and land from being polluted by crop stubble burning, plastic, and thermocol.
Arpit Dhupar and Anand Bodh are the founders of Dharaksha Ecosolutions Private Limited(www.dharaksha.com). Dharaksha means “saving the earth” in Hindi and tells how young co-founders stand apart from the other businessmen. The story starts with Arpit travelling to the villages of Haryana in 2019 and witnessing the existing farming practices.
Arpit lived the country life for six months and observed how farmers burn hectares of crop stubble waste every year, with a heavy heart, left with no other option. They are well aware of how this harmful practice destroys the soil ecosystem and the nutrient content and contributes to air pollution in big cities. He saw that the farmers needed an incentive to store crop waste rather than burn them and destroy the earth. Having found their life purpose, the two young men did not wait any longer. Thus came Dharaksha into existence as a private limited company in 2020.

The founders invested 30 lakhs and two years with eminent scientists and researchers of India. Their investment has given them a good product which will continue to bless themselves and the nation. They have created a packaging material from crop stubble residue that reportedly disintegrates without any leftover in 60 days. The material is sturdy, durable, water-resistant, shockproof, antistatic, and has better cushioning capabilities than other packaging materials made of thermocol.
Dharaksha Ecosolutions has a manufacturing plant in Faridabad, Haryana, to supply eco-friendly solutions and replace plastic and thermocol solutions. Top Indian brands such as Dabur, Havells, Orient Electric, and Voltas have already expressed their interest in the product. The work of these two men will inspire other businesses to follow suit in saving the earth from destruction.
