January 06, 2022

How Saravi Industries is poised to become a 100 Crore Company by 2025!

Vinay Kumar realized that becoming an entrepreneur brought challenges that were not entirely economic. His family was apprehensive because they felt that a job with an IT Company meant security. A secure job would be a roadmap to a middle-class dream of - getting married, buying a car, owning a house, and having a family. Who in the right mind will give their daughter in marriage? Vinay’s mother asked. Every father would like to get his daughter married to a boy with a stable job. Vinay opines that the main obstacles that deter young entrepreneurs include lack of family encouragement, need for collateral, and societal acceptance.

Today, with the support of his father, Vinay runs a successful bag manufacturing business, Saravi Industries (www.saraviindustries.com), named after his mother Sarvamangala and his father Ravindra. His client list reads some of the top bag retailers namely, Korrun, Wildcraft, Lenovo, Gear, Dell, and Arvind.

With an impressive client list comprising of leading bag retailers in the domestic and international markets, Saravi is galloping towards its goal of breaching the ‘100-Crore turnover’ barrier by 2025.

Saravi is well on its way to fulfilling its vision of becoming a 100-crore company by 2025! According to him, “Being an employee is very different from being an entrepreneur.

An employee’s job is comfortable whereas an entrepreneur is always on the edge - whether it is arranging capital, ensuring a proper supply chain, or managing employees. However, life as an entrepreneur is thrilling! Every day brings a new challenge”.

Today, although entrepreneurs may have a unique concept, most financial institutions are not forthcoming in lending money. If one does not have any collateral, getting a loan from financial institutions is next to impossible. For entrepreneurship to survive, access to funding is key. And finally, he adds” If entrepreneurs received at least 10% of the respect and admiration people gave celebrities, several small businesses generating employment would become a reality”.
