Aritaaku Bhojanam (@aritaakubhojanam) is a popular South Indian restaurant in the heart of the main shopping area of Ameerpet, Hyderabad. It was founded in November 2020, by partners Burugupalli Chiranjeevi and Kanaparthy Ravi Kiran. Burugupalli Chiranjeevi has vast experience of running an eating joint for over five years before setting up Aritaaku Bhojanam. This eatery offers delicious vegetarian, non-vegetarian meals served traditionally on Aritaaku (banana leaves).

South India has a long-standing tradition of serving food on banana leaves. Banana leaves contain large amounts of antioxidants and polyphenols which have anti-bacterial properties and prevent many lifestyle diseases. However, these days, food is served on banana leaves only at special occasions like weddings, and this restaurant wants to keep the age-old traditions alive. Traditional banana leaf meal is the USP of Aritaaku Bhojanam. The owners highlight that this is the only restaurant in the city to do so. They educate on an interesting point: if the food has spoiled, the banana leaves change colour from bright green to black. The place serves Andhra and Telangana cuisines and is open for lunch and dinner. The 80-seater restaurant has both dinein and takeaway facilities daily from 10 am to 11 pm.

Varieties of mouth-watering curries and the crowd favourite, biryani, make their way onto the menu. Reasonably priced at Rs. 120 for vegetarian meals and Rs. 200 for non-vegetarian meals, the unlimited meals come with tasty curries, pickles, sambar, rasam, dal, curd, and other condiments.

Mostly celebrated for its delectable non-veg fare, four types of chicken biryani, including natu kodi (country chicken), Ulavacharu (horse gram), mutton, prawns, and fish and egg biryani, round up their extensive biryani menu. The veg options include kaju, paneer, and mixed veg biryani. Spicy curries of chicken, mutton, seafood (fish, prawns, and crabs), and quail fry with Rayalseema speciality Ragi Sangati will ensure you return to eat more and more of the food here. All the dishes are cooked and displayed in neat and clean containers for customers to check and order.
